In what differ stirrer types?

When stirring devices are employed, the proper selection of the stirrer is crucial.

The stirrers are distinguished according to

  • the type of flow they generate in the stirred material,
  • the speed-depending applications and
  • the various designs for different viscosities.

We distinguish the following stirrer types:

1. Blade stirrer
(radial flow)

2. Propeller stirrer
(axial flow)

3. Turbine stirrer
(radial flow)

4. Anchor stirrer
(radial flow)

5. Universal stirrer
(dynamic radial flow)
